The Vocal Chameleon with Reid Bruton
In Los Angeles, a talented and flexible singer can do it all - but how?
Please join us for a multi-genre masterclass which will give us a close-up view as to what it means to be a true “Vocal Chameleon,” navigating multiple genres with a healthy technique while being a true artist.
A former student of Richard Miller, Reid Bruton is a thriving Los Angeles based singer and teacher. He has sung on the soundtracks of over 100 major motion pictures and has sung back-up for such artists as: Barbara Streisand, Seth MacFarlane, Adele, Lady Gaga, Josh Grobin and Andrea Bocelli. Mr. Bruton is a member of the Los Angeles Master Chorale and has sung in more than 75 productions with Los Angeles Opera, performing roles in Thaïs, Billy Budd, Salome, Gianni Schicci, Der Rosenkavalier, Rigoletto, La Traviata, Die Zauberflöte, Carmen and La Bohème. Classical Singer magazine recently quoted Reid in two articles geared towards young, upcoming singers: “Suffer for Your Art” and “Pursuing Your Passion”.
Master class singer submissions:
The deadline for submissions is February 25, 2020. Applicants must be 18 years of age or older, or studying music at the collegiate/graduate level. Exceptions may be made on a case-by-case basis. We will accept submissions in a variety of musical styles, but the masterclass will be accompanied by piano so applicants should bear that in mind when considering in what genre they may wish to sing.
