Job Description / Duties
DePauw University http://www.depauw.edu/music/, a nationally ranked liberal arts college with one of the first Schools of Music in the country, invites applications for a tenure-track position in the teaching of applied voice (tenor) beginning August 2016.
Rank and salary will be commensurate with experience. M.M. (or equivalent) required, doctorate preferred. Seeking effective, enthusiastic teacher of undergraduate applied voice to music majors and non-majors with experience teaching classical and musical theater repertoire and styles. Active performers with college or university teaching experience (both studio and classroom) are encouraged to apply. A commitment to undergraduate teaching in a forward thinking and innovative context is essential. Teaching responsibilities may include voice-related courses such as vocal pedagogy, diction for singers, vocal literature, and direction of opera and musical theatre scenes.
