Job Description / Duties

The Fine Arts Department is looking for a full-time sessional Voice Instructor position.

Candidates must be student centered, dynamic educators with excellent interpersonal/communication skills. The ability to adapt pedagogical methodologies to accommodate a diverse student body is essential. The ability to work in a collaborative environment with fellow instructors, support staff and members of the community is essential.

Qualifications / Required Skills

• A Master of Music degree in Vocal Performance is
required.
• Applicants must be able to teach (and must have taught)
classical as well as jazz and popular music vocal
technique at a university level.
• The ability to conduct and direct a university-level
choir is also a requirement. The successful candidate
will also be required to teach Aural Skills (level I and
II), Music Theory (first and second year) and or Music
History (first and second year survey courses).
• Knowledge and experience with piano accompaniment and
music technology is essential

Additional Information

This full-time sessional position will begin August 15, 2016 and end April 30, 2017. Grande Prairie Regional College offers an attractive benefits and remuneration package. Salary will commensurate with qualifications and experience.
