Job Description / Duties

Indiana Wesleyan University College of Arts and Sciences seeks a faculty member with specialization in Voice (male voice preferred) and related areas to serve in the Division of Music. In addition to teaching applied lessons to undergraduate voice majors, responsibilities are rotated among other full-time voice faculty in the areas of vocal literature, diction, vocal pedagogy, and opera and/or musical theater workshop. Special consideration will be given to applicants who have expertise in one or more of the following areas: musical theatre, music therapy, aural skills, music history, and choral conducting.

Qualifications / Required Skills

The ideal candidate’s qualifications will include evidence of an active record of national/international professional or scholarly engagements; either an earned doctorate (or ABD) in music, or a master’s degree in music with a commensurate record of professional achievement; significant teaching experience at the collegiate level; and dedication to the ideals of liberal learning and an educational philosophy based on centrality of Jesus Christ and the integration of faith and learning.
