Job Description / Duties
The Department of Music at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor to teach studio voice with additional possible assignments in voice diction, class voice, and voice pedagogy. Additional classroom teaching assignments may be made based on the candidate's strengths and department needs. Continued professional development, active student recruitment, and student advising expected.
Qualifications / Required Skills
Requirements
• Doctorate in music required or expected by September 2017.
• Evidence of successful teaching in the applied area at the undergraduate level.
• Evidence of professional-level vocal performance.
• Evidence of potential for significant scholarly and/or creative achievement.
Preferences
A preference will be given to those with experience in teaching or performing contemporary commercial music.
Starting Date
September 1, 2017
