Job Description / Duties
The Willamette University Music Program seeks an Artistic Associate in Voice. The successful candidate will join a department committed to designing, fostering, and facilitating learning environments that are welcoming to a diversity of communities, with an emphasis on communities historically excluded from access to music programs, such as women and people of color.
This is a part time position (5-15 hours) for a voice instructor beginning August, 2021. Primary duties include teaching weekly voice lessons to music majors, minors and non-majors. There are opportunities on campus for recitals and other public performances in Hudson Hall’s excellent acoustic, and in the Rogers Music Center located at the heart of Willamette’s campus.
Qualifications / Required Skills
Qualifications: Master’s degree in voice or vocal pedagogy required. The ideal candidate is a dynamic, creative colleague and educator who possesses strong communication and interpersonal skills. They must demonstrate evidence of successful teaching experience of undergraduate students in a college or university setting, for majors, minors and non-majors.
Additional Information
Keyboard skills are preferred but not required. We welcome candidates with an interest in collaboration across the department and Voice Area.
