What's New > Announcing the launch of our new website
The National Association of Teachers of Singing is thrilled to launch a redesign of our website, NATS.org.
With this refresh, it was our goal to make the website more organized, faster and easier to navigate for everyone who uses our site — from current and prospective members to others who may be looking for a voice teacher or information about the industry.
We invite you look around the new site and rediscover all that NATS has to offer.
Explore our various programs, check out upcoming events and read our most recent newsletter. As you browse the site, you’ll see we’ve sorted our offerings into a few categories at the top:
Membership
“Membership” is just like it sounds — all things related to joining and renewing. Oh, boy, if you are not yet a member, this is the place to start! :) From exclusive member deals to networking, a NATS membership provides great value. (Shameless plug: to anyone who is thinking about joining, it’s nearing the BEST time of the year to become a member. Join on or after October 1 to receive the rest of the 2021 for free!)
And, if you are a member, first off, thank you so much! October 1 also marks the start of the renewal process. New this year will be the option to enroll in auto-renew, and we do hope you’ll consider this convenience. After logging in to “Member Home” and going to “Renew Now,” follow the steps to renew. It’s on the first page of your renewal profile that we offer the option to enroll in auto-renewal. If you choose to go with auto-renewal, your account will be charged every January 1 starting January 1, 2023 until you decide otherwise. Again, completely optional, but it is a convenience that many members have requested!
Whether or not you choose to participate in auto-renewal, we are so grateful to have you in our community of voice teachers, collaborative pianists, industry partners and performers. We hope you have found value in your membership over the past year. If you need assistance with your membership or the renewal process, please do not hesitate to send us an email or call 904-992-9101.
Get Involved
Once you are a member, the best way to make the most of your NATS membership is to “get involved” hence our tab title. In this section, you’ll find opportunities for your students as well as ways to take your skillz (yes, with a “z” because we are fun like that) to the next level with our mentoring programs or through one of our top-notch professional development events.
Speaking of events, whether in-person or virtual, they are at the core of networking and are an integral part of what “being a community’ is all about. In “Get Involved,” learn about our upcoming Winter Workshop in New York City (Jan. 7-9, 2022) as well as 57th Annual National Conference in Chicago (July 1-6, 2022).
The Latest
This section is aptly titled. Here you’ll have access to the most recent news or information from NATS at your fingertips. The “What’s New” stories reside both on the homepage and this section. “What’s New” features the latest announcements, updates and Q&As. You also can find the latest issue of Journal of Singing, our weekly e-mail newsletter Intermezzo, and the upcoming NATS Chat schedule.
Live Learning Center is an online portal where you can browse the most recent live recordings of NATS conference sessions and workshops.
Voices of COVID-19 is a collection of more than 60 interviews with singing industry professionals during the pandemic. The special project is ongoing and curated by Timothy Bostwick.
With it constantly being updated, “The Latest” is great section to revisit again and again.
Give
In the “Give” section, we invite you and others to partner with us in leadership that transforms lives through the power of singing. Through our charitable endeavors, we’re reaching beyond our professional dialogue to amplify our art and our values.
This section points out ways to donate to NATS. You can direct your gift in ways that promote professional standards and ethical practices, encourage individual skills and creativity; open new worlds for those who cannot afford it otherwise; and help all of us connect to each other with empathy and compassion.
You can also give to NATS by volunteering. Our programs and competitions rely on members to provide the opportunities that define our work together. Thank you!
Connect
The “Connect” part of the website rounds up lots of straightforward information about NATS as an organization. You’ll find contact information for the Board of Directors as well as the office staff, a broad FAQ, advertising opportunities with NATS, the Job Center, and a place to buy all of your NATS merchandise.

Member Home
If you’ve been a member, this protected log-in area will look similar to how it has appeared in the past.
Member Home is the spot where you are able to access Auditionware (the system used to enter competitions and auditions), renew your NATS membership (and pay chapter dues), as well as use account services such as updating your profile for the “Find A Teacher” directory.
Once you are logged in, you also will have the benefit of popping over to the Live Learning Center without re-logging in. NATS has invested in new upgrade called “single sign-on,” eliminating the need for you to remember a separate username and password for the NATS Live Learning Center.
On behalf of all of us at NATS, we hope you enjoy perusing and using the new and improved NATS.org! If you have any questions, suggestions, feedback or comments, send us an email or call us at 904-992-9101.
