Excitement begins for National Student Auditions
We thank all the young singers who have applied for the 2017 National Student Auditions. An exciting display of talented musicianship will unfold as we progress toward the semifinal and final rounds, taking place during the 2017 Summer Workshop in Boulder, Colorado.
NATS student audition participation has grown to thousands each year. Students participate in chapter, district, and region auditions, receiving constructive feedback on their progress and deemed by members as one of the most important activities NATS organizes.
Originally for classical repertoire only, auditions now encompass music theater, spirituals and other contemporary musical styles and genres as well.

USD Dominates NATS Competition At NSU
Voice students from the University of South Dakota Music Department earned top accolades at the South Dakota National Association of Teachers of Singing tournament hosted at Northern State University March 25.

Transylvania Choral Society Awards Scholarship To Claire Griffin Of BHS - Brevard, NC
Claire Griffin, a junior at Brevard High School, has been awarded the Transylvania Choral Society Scholarship for 2017. Griffin will use the award to study at the Brevard Music Center. A voice student of Dr. Kathryn Gresham at Brevard College, this year Griffin placed first in both state and regional competitions held by the National Association of Teachers of Singing.

The Granite State chapter of the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) held its annual state-wide vocal competition for classical singers in Manchester on April 15....
